While like many I hope there will be a grocery tenant, if that doesn’t happen despite Mark New’s best efforts, I am hopeful that whatever occurs will be a nice addition to the neighborhood- and a physical improvement to the status quo!
Food Front already was small. Dividing that space into two means something along the lines of a big 7-11 or a Basics or Green Zebra. And we all know how those two worked out.
Parking is an essential reality. I know we want to encourage biking but the reality many people drive to do grocery shopping. Yes, smaller grocers don’t seem to do well, unfortunately.

This redevelopment of the property and the donation to Friendly House is a great conclusion we could never have imagined a year ago.
