When will mankind co- exist with nature? When the animals revolt and start to not only kill us but eat us? I think so because mankind thinks they "own this planet" and can do whatever they want to.

Short of murdering this Murder of Crows, these measures appear to be he most that can be done

I moved here a few years ago and live in Old Town. I love the crows. I don't notice anything particularly problematic about them. How about the homeless people whose poop I have to step over and deal with just walking around. How about the damage they are doing? Can we work out some sort of "falcon" based system for dealing with them? Perhaps wolves? Or angry badgers?

Crows need to adopt some spotted owls, then the city would need to create a commission to study the impact of a murder of crows on the Spotted Owl population.

Leave them alone! They roost here because the ambient light keeps them safe from owls. They are intelligent, funny and personable….like many Portland folks!

"Crows are attracted to the messiness of cities", and Portland's crow population is increasing at twice the national average. How did our city get so messy that it attracts so many more crows.....

Maybe it isn't the crows that need to go.

Everything on earth has a purpose and that includes wildlife. Egocentric humans should try to think beyond themselves.

What a well written article full of interesting facts. I had no idea that 20,000 crows could fit in a tree at once!
