A world class art collection exists in industrial Northwest Portland. A member of one of Portland's most prominent families invites you to experience it for yourself.
Jordan Schnitzer has for years been sustaining Portland's arts institutions, expanding public access to culture, and investing deeply in the civic life of the city. Yet when Portland DSA placed him on its “enemies” list last month, DSA-aligned city councilors like District 4's Mitch Green didn't just stay silent; they tacitly endorsed the smear.
They chose factional loyalty over truth, gratitude, and basic decency—proving that in today’s City Hall, ideological enforcement matters more than the public good.
What an amazing pillar of the community Jordan Schnitzer and his family have been for Portland in general and especially for the arts and humanities. He has brought vibrancy to this city in so many ways that have not been fully appreciated. I can’t wait to stop by his ‘private’ museum that he makes so available to all, especially children. Thank you, Jordan!
Thank you, Jordan, for helping to sustain Portland arts and bringing positive national attention to Portland’s vibrancy.
To address Bob Weinstein’s earlier post, unfortunately there are groups (DSA) and their paid-for politicians that seem more interested in dividing Portand along outdated ideological lines rather than embracing healthy diversity. They may see short-term political gain in doing this, but art and generosity will always win against the political vitriol of divisiveness. Thanks to Jordan and everyone else that gives to bring Portlanders closer together through art, theater, and much, much more.
Thank you, Jordan! The arts are also a vital part of Oregon’s economy and receive little or no public investment.

Jordan is an extraordinary treasure for our entire community.
