Kudos to Rachel and all the volunteers for cleaning up ahead of the centennial! Seeing that photo beneath the viaduct reminded me of a fantastic documentary by Steve the Historian. It covers the history of Canyon Road (which SW Jefferson turns into right at that spot) and explains how that direct route between the deep water ports and the Tualatin Valley farmland allowed Portland to become the region's dominant city. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVSAwE4AqhA
What a great community effort!
I can’t wait to join the Goose Hollow festivities August 30!
This project is near and dear to my heart. I am grateful to all the participants. I hope to attend the celebrations.
