Am I mistaken or is this one block away from the low barrier overnight shelter the mayor wants to stick in the Pearl? How does this logistically make sense?

Because right now the school is stuck right next to the ICE office in SW, and are subject to the 24 / 7 riot being inflicted on that area by folks who claim that they are exercising their First Amendment rights.

Sadly, neither the PPB, or the City Auditor or that fool of a state Circuit Court Judge understand the actual scope of First Amendment rights and the "time, place, and manner" restrictions which are part and parcel of First Amendment jurisprudence.

Instead, the feckless politicians in PDX are hell bent on opposing anything the Trump gangsters do, and will sacrifice everyone's right to aid the left wing thugs to taunt Trump's gangsters.

A pox on both side's houses.

Ah, so the kids have the choice of being next to riots or a low barrier homeless shelter full of drug addicts. Sounds about Portland. Hope the morons running the city and the people who continue to vote for them are feeling good about themselves.

The school near the ICE building in South Portland is the Cottonwood School. It will be moving to SW 1st, the former site of the Bridges Middle School.
