Well worth seeing. But, you didn't really tell the readers everything. There is some bad that goes with this good. I wasn't there at 10am, but was there from 11:30a-1:00p.

* If you want easy arterial access, forget it. NW 29th was a parking lot today, it can take 15 minutes to drive one block. Naturally the crowds crossing the adjacent intersections and streets there, make it hard for traffic to get through 4 way stops in any hurry.

* If you want convenient parking, forget it. Be prepared to park 3-4 blocks away. There's no easy parking there. It's crammed full in all directions. Better yet, walk there if you can.

* If you like a casual stroll while checking out the art, forget it. You will be in lines, you will be sometimes crawling at a snail's pace, waiting for people to leave rooms, so you can can come in all while people stand and block your extended view of the art. Better be prepared to see it, when you can get up real close.

* If you like convenient bathrooms when you need it, forget it. There will be lines.

* If you like unencumbered access to the main art gallery, forget it. at noon today, they had to rope off access, creating a waiting line, and begin allowing access only as people left the property.

* If you like attending events that far exceed occupancy permits, filled with more people than art, this is the place for you.

As the four of us noted, it was wonderful to see that Portland hungers for crafts and art show opportunities like this. You won't be disappointed with the art or artists. But, if you don't love massive crowds that make parking, strolling or seeing art easy, this probably is not the event for you. Mind you, some of the adjacent properties, like the "trains" event across the street, are far easier to enter and navigate.

Ah, yes, your last photo, taken from the stairs leading to the 2nd floor studios: that was three times as full of people when we were there at 12:30p - every chair taken, people standing and trying to move forward mostly in a counter clock-wise rotation.

There were so many people in attendance it felt claustrophobic and unsafe should an emergency arise. Never again

I was there today and it was fabulous! So many people to see art, we should only applaud the event in my opinion. Yes it was crowded but I was able to move on to a less crowded area and then circle back. It was exciting. I loved being able to talk with many of the artists in attendance who were happy to discuss their art. I walked to the venue and yes, parking does appear to be a challenge. Overall it was a wonderful event. There were food trucks in attendance, and they seemed to be doing a bustling business. I recommend.
