The Joinery moving to Pearl District
Handcrafted furniture maker will take over former Pearl Bakery space
The Joinery, a 40-year-old company making handcrafted furniture for home or office, is moving to the former Pearl Bakery space at 102 NW Ninth Ave. in the Pearl District this spring after 11 years in downtown.
“The past several years in Portland have been challenging,” CEO Jon Blumenauer said, but he intends to be part of its recovery.
The 1907 Pearl Bakery building features a showroom with floor‐to‐ceiling natural light.
The company has been a certified B Corp since 2010.
A closing sale at 922 SW Yamhill St. continues through April 13.
Good for Jon but that is a very high risk move for a business. Portland continues to disappoint.
