The name behind the anonymously launched Partnership for Progress is Vadim Mozyrsky, who told the NW Examiner he did so to generate interest through curiosity about the organization’s roots.
Two other candidates who also lost in political races last November, Eli Arnold and Bob Weinstein, are also involved. Mozyrsky lost his race for County Council Seat No. 1, while Arnold and Weinstein ran for City Council in District 4.
“Partnership for Progress amplifies the voices of the majority of Portland residents who desire a safe, functional city in which to live, thrive and raise families,” the website states. “We are led by community leaders and former City Hall insiders who share the frustrations of the 71 percent of voters who feel the city is not headed in the right direction.”
Mozyrsky said the organization has no major financial backers and is soliciting donations of $10-$100 from individuals.
