A citizen advisory committee meets today, Oct. 5, at 4 p.m., at Lucky Lab, 1945 NW Quimby St., to discuss its role in plans for a Slabtown park at Northwest 20th Avenue and Pettygrove Street.

This has been a LONG time plan! I worked at Con-way Enteprise Services from 2006-2011. In 2008, they first announced their master plan to redevelop their entire property holdings. In 2012 that plan was finally approved by the city. It’s been 18 years. The project is almost done. I think this park is the last major piece of the puzzle.
